Swimming Hall of Fame

John Newman Award

The Illinois Swim Hall of Fame award, named in honor of Lane Tech's John Newman, is presented annually by the Illinois Swimming & Diving Association to that person who during his/her career has promoted boy's swimming in Illinois at all levels through leadership, service and outstanding achievement. This is the highest award presented in Illinois aquatics. Voting is conducted by the I.S.D.A. through its membership.
